Not a girly girl
Junior prefers jeans and sneakers over dresses and heels

Okay, so I know I’m not girly. I’m not about the clothes, shoes, nails or makeup, or any of it all.
Let’s start with the makeup, I don’t even own any. I think the only time I’ve ever worn makeup was for Halloween, and I usually end up taking it off halfway through. It’s unnecessary to spend excessive amounts of money on something that girls don’t even need and can live without, plus I like being able to rub my eyes when they itch.
My hair…it’s the same 90 percent of the time, down and straightened. Occasionally I’ll wear it natural, which is curly, but I’m not prone to do so. I don’t ever curl my hair or braid it, the only other thing I do to my hair besides straighten it is put it up into a ponytail. It takes me literally 15 minutes to straighten my hair and it’s easier to manage then when curly, that and I don’t have to use hair stuff when it’s straightened.
If you were to look at my nails, you would see non-polished, plain, chipped nails. I don’t have the time or patience to constantly keep up with painting my nails or going to get them done. It’s just a waste of time and money I could be using on better things.
When it comes to my clothes, I’m the jeans and a T-shirt kind of girl. I don’t own a single skirt, and I own one dress, that I was forced to wear to my cousin’s funeral last year, and it’s currently collecting dust in the back of my closet. For the most part I don’t wear name brand clothes with the exception of a few items that were either cheap, a gift, or my shoes because I’d rather spend the extra money on other things. Speaking of shoes, I only wear my Converse and Vans; I don’t ever wear sandals or heels. I know I’m short, but I don’t need the extra height and I’m already clumsy enough as it is.
Food. I’m not saying that all girly girls are like this, but the stereotypical girly girl watches what they consume and track their calories; they would choose a salad over a burger and that’s just not me. I am the complete opposite, I love burgers and I don’t track my calories. To be honest I just eat whatever there is.
I’m not saying being girly is a bad thing, it’s just not me. I do have my squeamish moments where I may appear girly, like when I see a spider, but it’s just because I am terrified of them. For the most part, I’m happy to stick to my tomboyish style.
