They had been practicing the performance that they performed for the 8th graders since the end of football season. “For me, I joined when I was in middle school so I think having younger kids see it and showing them things they might like to do is really important to see if they want to join and be a part of something new,” Heyman said.

With sharp movements, senior Jacob Hullum dances as a part of the IntoneNation show choir. This performance was a debut of their number “Dream On” from their School of Rock inspired show this year. “I feel super energized when performing with these people I love.” Hullum said.

Campus technologist Scott Robertson types away on his computer in the Tech Room of the Raider Library. Robertson has been working at the school since 2008, the year of its opening, and has seen its students through major changes such as the pandemic. “I think that COVID was a catalyst that made us have to go completely online,” Robertson said. “We were not prepared as a technology department for the weight of COVID. I was in parking lots handing out laptops to kids so that we could go on Zoom. Everything was just suddenly online.”
