Four students of the One-Act Play cast and crew team won awards at the bi-district level. Seniors Logan Fish and Weston Beckham was named All-Star Cast, senior Taylor Criswell was awarded Honorable Mention All-Star Cast and junior Ashton Rust was named All-Star Technical Crew.

“At first I was surprised,” Rust said. “Usually the technology crew don’t get recognized at competitions. It was pretty surprising.”

The team performed the play A Nice Family Gathering by Phil Olsen. The play is a comedy that tells the story of a dead husband trying to tell his wife that he loves her, even if she can’t hear or see him. From there the story unfolds.

“It was really spectacular,” Criswell said. “The cast, because there was only seven of us, is so incredibly close. It was really family up there, just having a life on stage.”
