Shakes Fudge Brownie Shake

The fudge brownie shake at Shakes can be described as nothing less than rich. It cost me a mere $4 yet it contained both delicious chunks of brownie and fabulous thick chocolate ice cream. It was the best of both worlds with half the price. The outside environment adds to the experience by giving you fresh air and friendship with everyone else who happens to be there that day. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my Shakes’ experience and would return any summer day. –Rachel Sloan

The chocolate shake from Whataburger was full of deliciousness, but had a slightly fake and too sweet chocolate taste. The malt in it definitely made the shake better, but I don’t think it was worth the $2.19 I spent. It was a little too thin as well, but it was good with fries. Overall, it wasn’t a bad shake, but I would’ve rather gotten it from Sonic or McDonald’s. –Kristina Jingling

Sonic

I went to Sonic and I ordered a small chocolate cream pie shake. The shake at first had an interesting taste. It was creamy but the chocolate was not too overpowering. There was a hint of coconut that blended with the cream pie supremely. The first taste was weird, but after a couple sips, the full flavor hit. The milkshake was smooth and delicious with a dollop of the most fantastic whipped cream to ever grace my taste buds. –Shelly Spencer

Wendy’s Chocolate Frosty

Chocolate is love, chocolate is life; especially when in the form of a milkshake, just not from Wendy’s. To be honest, the Wendy’s Frosty was moderately sub-par. At $1.39 for a medium, you get what you pay for. The Frosty itself was a bit more solid than you would think, and when it begins to melt (within the first 10 seconds of you holding it), and then you get basically chunky chocolate milk. Although the consistency is not admirable, the flavor is not terrible. I had no problem eating it and felt moderately quenched by my cold, chunk chocolate milk. I guess that for now I will just stick to getting the never wrong, but always satisfying Baconator; one of Wendy’s best consumables. –Joe Amell

Steak and Shake
Peanut Butter Cup Shake

Round Rock, Texas 78664

At the Steak and Shake I purchased a peanut butter cup shake for $4. The milk shake was worthy of bringing all of the boys to the yard. A lot of times you get a milkshake that is either too runny or to thick to suck through your straw, it’s hard to find a milkshake that has the proper consistency. Steak and Shake managed to accomplish this. The restaurant has a diner feel and the shakes are served in old school tall glass cups that make you feel like you’ve stepped out of your life and into a movie, meeting friends at the malt shop. The overall feel of the restaurant and the perfect consistency of the milkshakes deserve to be experienced by everyone. –Shelly Spencer

Mighty Fine

Some shakes are good, some shakes are just okay. This one was Mighty Fine. If you ever need to cool down on a hot summer day and you’ve got some time to kill, I suggest a Mighty Fine milkshake. It takes some time to get because they don’t make it until you order, but the shake is either milk chocolate or vanilla flavor, I opted for the former. The rich milk chocolate taste, the smooth texture and creamy consistency makes this a cool, tasty, summer treat. The only thing that I can think of that would make this any better would be a big, juicy bacon burger to wash down with it. –James Amell
