Meet the Raiders has an entertaining twist this year.

The annual event, which introduces the fall sports teams, will include a carnival with food, refreshments and carnival games.

“We want to get more students involved,” said Student Council sponsor Debbie Gauna, who wants the carnival to become an annual tradition. “And we want to increase school spirit.”

Meet the Raiders is Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. at Charles Rouse Stadium. Students, faculty and parents will meet athletes from the fall teams, including football, volleyball, cross country, tennis, golf and swimming.

The carnival will begin after the sports introductions. Tickets will run 25 cents a piece with each booth charging one to two tickets for their games and food.
