The theatre department will host IMPROVACON to raise money for their trip to Scotland, Saturday, May 16 at 7 p.m.

“The thing about improv is, the louder the audience is, it has a big impact on the judges,” theatre director Stephanie Smith said. “Improv is fun, so the show will be fun. It’s an entertaining atmosphere.”

The IMPROVACON competition will also include Vista Ridge and Leander High School, and a panel of judges will determine the champions.

“The funds go towards the trip to Scotland and any activities for next year,” senior Tanner Parker said. “It’s against Vista Ridge [and Leander], so it could give our department recognition because they also have a good theatre department. And if students go out to see other school competitions, they should come and support our competition, too.”

Theatre will sell tickets for $8 for students and $10 for general admission starting Monday, May 11.
