Ten students placed at the UIL district meet April 10-11. Six students will go on to the Regionals competition, held on Saturday, April 25.

“I think it’s pretty cool as a team because this is the first Social Studies team Rouse has had,” senior Austin Finn said. “I’m excited for regionals. I can’t wait to see how we do and hopefully we go on to State.”

The Social Studies team took first, sweeping the top three spots while the Literary Criticism team was second.

“I actually was a little surprised,” sponsor Michael Hjort said. “I felt like the competition was going to be a little more difficult. To sweet first, second, and third is just awesome.”
