With the spring season underway, tennis players reflect back on the year long sport.

Out of the fall season and the spring season, which do you prefer more and why?

Cherokee Ford: I like fall season because since it’s a group effort, everyone is extra supportive and cheers everyone on since we are all at the same school, but during spring season, we are at different schools so you can’t watch everyone play.

Brody Denton: The fall season because it’s warmer in the mornings.

Maxine Matl: Out of the fall season and the spring season, which do you prefer more and why?

What is the one thing you look forward to at meets or tournaments?

Ford: I look forward to missing school for tournaments, but also being able to meet new people who share common interests since multiple schools are apart of the tournaments.

Denton: Spending time with the team and hearing about Coach Bassett’s many adventures.

Matl: I look forward to going and eating with the team after the tournament, we do a lot of bonding there.

What is something that other people may not know, but should know about the tennis team?

Ford: People should know that tennis is much harder than it looks.

Denton: Half of everyone who’s on the team played the sport for the first time in Rouse Tennis.

Matl: Tennis is actually really entertaining to watch. It can get pretty intense when watching a good rally is going on.
