The Austin Trail of Lights has the same look/vibe of New York’s Central Park Christmas Eve. With bright lights, swarms of people and a variety of stands containing food and knick knacks, it’s the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. The Trail of Lights is especially known for it’s giant 155 ft. tall tree in the middle of Zilker Park. It’s always decorated with multicolored bulbs, which are spiraled across. The TOL is a fair-like event for the entire family to enjoy. There’s a ferris wheel and a few other family-friendly rides. I attended the event for the first time last year, and it was a wonderful experience. All in all, it is a great event Austin hosts every year, and I am definitely looking forward to going back.
