5+Halloween+DIYs

Here is a list of five Spook-tastic DIY’s to make this Halloween. DIY stands for a Do it Yourself project. For example, a craft, a treat, or anything you can make yourself that’s creative. This is the perfect time of year to make some creative decor and treats to get yourself hyped up for Halloween.

Glitter Pumpkins and Skulls:

Adding some glitter to a plain skull or pumpkin decoration can seriously spice it up, or should I say “Spook it up”. Take any plain pumpkin or skull decoration that you have, coat it with Mod Podge or glue, and put some glitter on it. Shake off the excess when dry and you’ve got yourself a glammed out Halloween decoration.

Mummy Hot Dogs:

Add some animation to your snack by mummifying it. Take your hot dog and wrap a small piece of pastry dough around it leaving a gap large enough for some ketchup eyes and then bake according to instructions on the pastry dough. Add your ketchup eyes when they’re done in the oven and that’s it.This is super simple and yummy too.

Monster Doors:

For this simple but adorable DIY all you need is construction paper, scissors, and tape. Cut out various shapes in the construction paper to make a spooky face on your front door. Once you’ve cut out your shapes and decided on a monster to make tape your face to the front door and you’re done, it’s as easy as pumpkin pie. This is a fun project to do with younger siblings, little kids will get a kick out of making their monster door come together.

Googly Eye Wreath:

To make this creepy but cute wreath all you need is googly eyes, hot glue, and a foam wreath ring. It’s a piece of cake to make, hot glue your googly eyes to the foam wring covering it completely. I recommend using large googly eyes so that it isn’t as nearly as time consuming as using the little ones. Once you have the eyes glued down swap out your summer wreath for this spooky one.

Ghostly Pillow Case:

This darling and eerie pillow case is just what you need to Halloween-ify your bedroom some more. The supplies you need to create this is a black pillow case, a piece of white and black felt, and a hot glue gun or sewing supplies. First, cut out a ghost using your white felt and add eyes and a mouth to it with black felt. Then, either hot glue or sew your felt ghost onto your pillowcase. Ta-da you now have an adorable and homemade Halloween decoration.

All 5 of these DIY projects are insanely easy and add a cute Halloween touch to your home. Not only are these projects simple but they are also incredibly inexpensive to make. You’ll surely have a fang-tastic Halloween with these DIY’s incorporated.
