Glad to Be Here

This year there are 22 new staff members, including a new librarian and a receptionist. The receptionist, Brittany Hefner used to work at 360 Mortgage Group, an Austin-based company that provides home loans and mortgage products to its customers.
Hefner said changing to her new job at Rouse was much different than her previous position, but she is adjusting to the changes and glad she is here now.
“I love working at Rouse,” Hefner said. “Everyone is really friendly and outgoing, and the attitude here is a positive one. No matter how many questions I have, everyone seems happy to provide answers.”
Librarian Megan Cooper lived in Austin for about 20 years and worked previously at Rouse, but moved to Alabama several years ago for her husband’s job. She said she is glad to be part of the Raider family again.
“I hated to leave RHS when I did, so I’m excited to be here again,” Cooper said. “During my education career, I’ve also been an administrator, so I enjoy working with teachers and staff, but I truly enjoy working with students. Being in the library gives the best of both worlds.”
Hefner said she also enjoys working with students, and is excited to be a part of their academic career.
“Being around students as they go through their time at Rouse allows me to watch them mature and grow,” Hefner said. “I will get to see the big achievements they have through graduation.”
