J&J’s BBQ & Burgers is a family friendly restaurant with a sort of backyard barbeque feel to it with a western theme to it. The walls were covered with wagon wheels, cattle photos, horse shoes, bull horns and other cowboy gear. The backyard barbeque feel was given away by the picnic tables we sat at comfortably that were located both indoors and outdoors. The atmosphere overall very much emphasizes the well-known “Home Sweet Home” saying. Another good thing about going here was that it’s never over packed, when we arrived we were allowed to take our seats right away. However, it’s more of a self-serve restaurant as we ordered at the counter and paid there as well. The only time the waiter/waitress interacts with you is when they bring you your food, which is nice if you just want to sit, eat and not be bothered. I ordered the Western burger, a fresh grilled juicy ground beef patty with grilled onions, mushrooms and american cheese melted on top of bun toasted with butter   and served with barbeque sauce on the side. The way they offer the choices only make the burger better. The barbeque sauce is served on the side, which keeps the bun from becoming soggy. The onions and mushrooms are grilled, which adds to the overall   flavor, and not just placed on top of the burger. The choice of the American cheese allows you to better fit the burger to your taste pallet. Overall, I enjoyed the restaurant and would recommend it.
