Want to see your favorite teacher spend the day in a kilt?

The theatre department is holding a fundraiser in the R and at all three lunches to support their trip in August 2015 to Scotland to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

“Thirteen Rouse theatre students are diligently working to raise money toward the trip,” theatre director Stephanie Smith said. “Not only is the cost of travel expensive, but shipping a fully staged show overseas has a plethora of hurdles and expenses.”

The students will have jars with the names of the teachers and staff selected to potentially wear a kilt. The potential kilt wearers are principal John Graham, assistant principals Brandon Evans, Bob Syner, Coach Joshua Mann, Band Director Lee Crochet and teachers Daniel Hudson, Brad Bresnehen and Dylan Henderson. The teacher with the jar with the most money will wear a full kilt and accessories for a full day at school. Any monetary donation is accepted, but a donation of $20 or more will also receive a ticket to the theatre’s show In The West, Dec. 6-7 at 7 p.m.

“It’s a huge honor to be nominated to go,” senior Weston Beckham said. “Only the best of the best are chosen to go, and it’s amazing that someone thought we were good enough.”
