Silence.

The entire school remained in silence for Advocate, Nov. 11 as part of the school’s annual Veterans Day ceremony. ROTC students wore their uniforms and the school’s namesake, Charles Rouse was also present.

“I greatly appreciate the service that every veteran has done for our wonderful country,” Ryan Hawthorne said.

The symphonic band played while the choir sang “America the Beautiful.” To conclude the ceremony, Zach Firkins and Calvin Barns played “Taps.”

“I appreciate what the veterans and the ones still serving have done for our country,” Emily Chabert said.
