Splattered blood, flaming beds and glowing eyes all bring the horror genre to life in this classic vampire movie. The movie Let Me In is a compelling love story between a neighborhood boy and a vampire that moves in next door. The troubled 12-year-old boy named Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) finds himself seeking the comfort of a friend and unaware of the girl next door’s true nature, he grows close to her.
The newly released Let Me In is actually a remake of the Swedish foreign film Let the Right One In. Both are very similar except for a few scenes here and there. The only big differences are that the remake is in English and it was not as slow as the original.
SPOILER ALERT: The parts that I enjoyed the most, aside from the fake blood, were the scenes when the vampire girl, named Abby (Chloë Moretz) would attack a human in front of Owen. It created a sense of fear for the boy and suspension as to whether or not Abby would lose control and attack Owen.
This movie was an entertaining horror flick and any gore lover would appreciate the bloody scenes and maybe even ask for a little more blood at times. –Rowan Armour
