The band qualified for Area after competing at the UIL Region Marching Band Contest at Kelley Reeves Stadium in Round Rock, Oct. 18.

“I’m very proud of us,” freshman Emily Rowe said. “I think we worked really hard the past couple of months, but so did the other bands. They deserved it just as much as we did.”

They performed at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio, Oct. 25 for Area, their final marching contest of the season.

“This is a huge accomplishment for band, being in 6A,” Drum Major Sam Acosta said. “It’s a little bittersweet because it’s the end of marching season, but we are still making memories together.”
