Once a year kids big and small get to become someone else for the evening, but what if you could dress up twice? Thanks to Trunk or Treat, you can.

Trunk or Treat, an annual free event hosted by Student Council, will take place, Monday, Oct. 27. School clubs set up booths, often from car trunks, to offer face painting, games, prizes and candy to younger students. Each group picks a theme, dressing up in costumes to get into the Halloween spirit.

“People should go to Trunk or Treat because it’s a great way to support the school,” senior Brandie Smolenski said. “You get to dress up and give candy to little kids, it’s really fun.”

All community members, especially elementary school kids, are invited for an evening of candy-filled fun. The event is an opportunity for children to trick-or-treat in a safe environment.

“You can bring your siblings and get free candy,” senior Hailee Brummitt said. “Why wouldn’t you go?”

Trunk or Treat will take place in the school parking lot from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There is no school on Monday.
