Pieology Pizzeria doesn’t try to reinvent a new kind of pizza, instead they leave that to the buyers. It is like a Subway for pizzas. You go in and choose your toppings while they make it right in front of you. Mine hadmy most favorite toppings on it, including pepperoni, green bell peppers and tons of olives. Soon after, the waiter brought my pizza fresh out of the fire stove to me; I sighed in awe. It was beautiful of course, it was my own creation after all. And it tasted just how it looked, yummy. After adding Parmesan cheese, it was perfection.

AJ’s Pizzeria Review

AJ’s Pizza in Leander is one of the best places to get a giant slice of pizza pie, or even a whole pie to go. The thin crust is smothered in cheese, tomato sauce, and toppings of your choice ranging from sausage to jalapenos or pineapple. My slice was jalapeno pepperoni and cheese; it wasn’t too greasy and all of my toppings stayed on my pizza. What I love is that AJ’s is true East Coast, thin crust New York style pizza down even to the stores décor and laid back atmosphere; although if you are the more stay at home type they also deliver. AJ’s will always be my favorite hometown pizza place because they retain quality goods and a laid back atmosphere in the midst of a fast food driven suburbia area.

Southern’s Pizza & Sports Pub

If you like being in a sporty and laid back area, then you should try Southern’s Pizza which has pizzas, subs and salads. When I walked in I was surrounded by sports memorabilia, including pictures of the owner’s daughter, who was a college softball player and worked at this school. I ordered a bacon pepperoni personal pizza and within 10-15 minutes I had my food in front of me. The food was hot right out of the oven, the bread was crispy and there was ample pepperoni and bacon. The cheese was just the right amount for a personal pizza and the sauce had a homemade taste with fresh oregano and basil.

Marco’s Pizza
2800 S. Bagdad Road
Leander, TX, 78641

In a first glance, the warm colored walls, old bricked pattern and soft background music give a casual cozy atmosphere to the store. I’m not a big fan of pizza in general, but compared to some other fast food chain restaurants, Marco’s Pizza is a surprising top pick. Like most pizza there’s a greasy sheen to the slice, but the cheese and sauce are copious and the bread is toasted to a golden brown. The cheese bread is perfectly parmesan-y and the soda is still carbonated. The server gives recommendations when asked and the place is clean. Whether or not it’s to-go or stay that’s desired, delivery takes 15 to 20 minutes and the prices are average. Overall, Marco’s Pizza is great if you have the time to wait for local fast food.
