Q&A with varsity volleyball player Emily Hanaway
This is a part of a series of season preview Q&As with fall athletes
September 9, 2014
Position: Outside and middle
Role: Hitter and defense
Watch for: When we get a kill the atmosphere is intense and the crowd gets involved
We’ll win if: We cut down errors and play consistently
I will work on: Passing, dynamic scoring, and smarter shots
Prediction for the year: Doing well in district, and even though it will be hard, making playoffs
Biggest fear: Getting hurt and not enjoying the season
Pre-match ritual: The team works with exercise bands and we all have a dance party in the locker room. I drink a Spark before every game.
Biggest threat: When someone can hit over the block
