Welcome all meat lovers, veggie lovers, and taco lovers in general, Torchy’s doors are open to you. Torchy’s started out in a small food trailer in downtown Austin and thankfully they grew into a bigger business. Their atmosphere is very laid back with all kinds of music, a small bar and patio. Although there is a sit down restaurant it could also be considered a fast food place too.

Tacos are the main dish but they do have sides like salsa and green chile queso and chips with guacamole. All of Torchy’s sodas are organic which I love them but some people are unsure and won’t try them. I got the $3.50 fried avocados served with refried beans on a corn tortilla or you can ask for flour with the cactus pink lemonade.   The meal was wonderful.

The only problem with Torchy’s is the restaurants are small and fill up quickly are lunch and dinner time so the wait could be almost an hour on some days.  If you want to taste heaven charge your way to Torchy’s.
