If the customer can get past the freezing temperatures, Panera Bread is a relaxing hangout for just about anyone. Soft instrumental cafe music plays in the speakers above when the customers walk in, the walls are painted warm colors to give a homey feel, and the case of yummy desserts awaiting the customer is all too tempting. The menu is large, with nice deals and low prices. Customers seat themselves, but the cashier and employees that help them are very kind and respectful. There are booths and tables, almost all of them providing a plug for an electronic device and there are lots of windows with a nice view. I ordered something called a “You Pick Two” ($6.29) where I can order two small portions of different food instead of one. I got the Bacon Turkey Bravo, a freshly baked tomato basil bread with the inside stuffed with a smoked turkey breast, applewood-smoked bacon, smoked gouda, lettuce, tomatoes and their signature sauce. For my other half, I got the Mac and Cheese, with white cheddar shells drenched in warm melted cheese. To accompany my delicious food I ordered a Low-fat Mango Smoothie ($3.99), which really pulled the meal together. It was a wonderful cafe with great tasting food, a definite favorite.
