Latin Club members won several awards at the Texas State Junior Classical League competition, April 11-12.

Five Latin students placed at the Texas State Junior Classical League competition, April 11-12.  More than 2,000 Latin students from the state competed.

Daniela Gutierrez – 3rd place Roman Life, 8th place Mottoes/Abbreviations
Hannah Simmons – 3rd place Monochromatic Art, 5th place Roman History, 5th place Ancient Geography
Mark Simmons – 5th place Latin Grammar, 8th place Latin Oratory
Brian Robinson – 10thplace Decathlon
David Rowe – 7th place Greek Life and Literature

In addition, the Austin Area certamen team, which Hannah Simmons was a member of, finished second and the RHS team placed seventh overall in the sweepstakes-lower division out of 24 schools.
