The theatre department will put on their public performance of their One-Act Play, Moliere’s Tartuffe, Wednesday, March 19.

Taruffe is a 17th century French play, telling the tale of the wealthy merchant Orgon who is stricken with admiration for the holy man, Taruffe. Disregarding his family’s warnings, Orgon takes Tartuffe into his household and offers him everything—including his daughter’s hand in marriage. However, it turns out Tartuffe is a con artist seeking only Orgon’s wife and his fortune.

The public performance will be at 7 p.m. and admission is $5.

The performance will help prepare the cast for the UIL OAP zone competition Tuesday, March 25 at Cedar Park High School.
