For the third time in three weeks, LISD has closed school for inclement weather. ALL LISD schools and offices are closed Friday, Feb. 7.

With February Conference running Feb. 3-5, students only attended school one day this week. After being off for five-days, students returned Thursday for a B day which started on a two-hour delay because of freezing weather. The district noted the delay was made with “an abundance of caution.”

Temperatures have remained below freezing since Thursday with a 10-20 percent chance of rain. All area school district closed for Friday including Austin, Eanes, Georgetown, Pflugerville and Round Rock. Local news stations urged people to stay off the roads.

All events planned for Friday were also canceled. The boys basketball games have been moved to Saturday at the normal times: 5:15 p.m for freshman, 5:30 p.m. for junior varsity and 7 p.m. for varsity.
