Funeral homes, asylums and zombie apocalypse part of staffer’s TV obsession

It’s no secret of mine… I love a good TV show. A normal teenager would watch one or two good shows at once. Me? Well I’m currently watching nine. Insane and hard to keep up with, believe me, I know, but each story is so different and interesting. I’ll tell you about a few.

On the HBO side, there is Six Feet Under which is about two brothers that are the exact opposite taking control of the family business, a funeral home, after the passing of their father. What’s unique about this story is the concept. What is your life if it is your job? My personal favorite is Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones centers around seven families fighting for power over the mystical land of Westeros. A bonus is the credits are brilliant; they pan by all the castles and the theme music is super catchy. You may have to pay attention to watch Game of Thrones, but it pays off when you start rooting for your favorite family. I can’t decide to root for the Lannisters (the main villains) or the Starks (the main heroes).

On the other networks there is The Walking Dead, which has moved very slow this year. But they had an outstanding season three which put the main characters in perspective about what they’d do to survive being cornered by a zombie apocalypse and a crazy killer. American Horror Story is the runner up to Game of Thrones. With a new story each year the creators never disappoint. I have to say, as of right now season two “Asylum,” which focused on a sanitarium for the criminally insane run by the Catholic Church, is my favorite. And let’s not forget to say a farewell to one of the best TV shows that ever aired, Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad was a show that centered on Walter White, a drug dealer and a cancer fighter providing for his family.

I know, my TV show life is insane. But before this ends, I have a question for you. When TV shows are all you want to watch, then what is your life?
