As the band walked off the field after their halftime performance at the first football game, the student section anxiously awaited the drumline’s traditional show off. However, drumline left the field with the band, leaving the student section disappointed and bummed.

Drumline is one of the exciting parts of Friday night football games. They help keep the crowd pumped and determined to finish off the games with a win. It definitely confused everyone when they didn’t show up to jam with the students. Chants like, “We want drumline!” were quickly spreading through the crowd and even had people tweeting #RouseWantsDrumline.               

Luckily, the drumline made a spectacular come back at the Sept. 13 Hays game. They walked onto the track with confidence and left the crowd cheering and amazed by their incredible performance.  Let’s hope the drumline doesn’t disappear on us again.
