Destination Imagination is a club designed to encourage students to become leaders and innovators. In DI, students can come together as a team to demonstrate their problem-solving skills and creativity through a skit they prepare themselves.
“It teaches problem solving, critical thinking skills, team work and time management skills,” sponsor Marguerite Swilling said. “It’s a good excuse to spend time with friends, eat lots of food and create cool stuff.”
In the past two years, the previous D. teams have advanced to the state and global competitions, placing in the top 10 at the most recent global competition.
“You need to be a self-starter, team player and willing to work,” Swilling said. “I’m very excited.”
