“Freedom”. “Maturity”. “Cool”. Those are words kids often use to describe what it feels like to drive. Although most kids don’t know the feeling, a few sophomores are lucky enough to have the luxury of driving themselves when needed.
Obviously, with activities like athletics or fine arts practices, it would be easier for students if they didn’t have to wait for their parents all the time. “It’s more convenient,” said sophomore Salina Calderon.
Two incentives for students to have a license would be:
1. Parents would not have to be a chauffeur, and
2. They can send their children places like the store or a younger siblings’ school to pick them up or drop them off.
It is a long process to get a drivers’ license. It takes a lot of time and ability to remember all of the required information. Students can either go to classes or be parent taught. Parent taught could be the easiest way to be taught if parents are patient and have weekends off and the least expensive. Several things are necessary when getting a license or permit; VOE, birth certificate, and social security card are required.
