Agriculture Mechanics students recently won awards at the San Antonio Ag Mech Show, Saturday, Feb. 23. Senior Ty Thomason, junior Hunter Migl and senior Kyle Gross earned blue quality ribbon for their 16-foot utility trailer while senior Coleton Callan and senior Wyatt Rae won a red ribbon in Front Bumper Replacement and senior Josh Palla received a red ribbon in the Shop Metal Scrap Bin.
“[I feel] accomplished, relieved and glad for the sponsor we made the trailer for because he knows he has a good, quality trailer,” Migl said.
More than 350 projects were entered in the competition and the students were required to stand by their projects throughout the day and show them for the judges.
“They represented their school with pride and we should all be so proud,” Agriculture teacher Shannon Houy said. “They have definitely set the bar very high for future show teams.”
