Three swimmers placed at the state meet Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22-23. The team placed 11th overall out of 35 teams.
“I was very pleased,” swim coach Marlene Blanchett said. “All of our swimmers placed in the top eight. It’s also impressive that we placed 11th overall with only four girls swimming.”
The team brought home four top 10 places, with two in the top six. Freshman Hailey Timmons placed fifth in the 100 Butterfly.
“I did pretty good, being a freshman and all, and not getting last,” Timmons said.
