At their first meet of the season, four athletes placed at the Vista Ridge powerlifting meet, Jan. 25.

Seniors Sigi Martinez and Chris Hendricks both placed first in their respective weight classes of 165 and 148 pounds. Senior Eddie Guzman took second place in the 220 lb weight class and junior Ryan Sanchez placed fourth in his 165 lb weight class.

The team will attend three more meets, including Feb. 2 at Taylor, Feb. 16 at Connally and Feb. 23 at Del Valle.
