Art club paints mural in cafeteria

The Art Club is painting a mural in the cafeteria, an idea given to them by Principal John Graham and the school board.  The mural has the school symbol alongside a banner with the slogan “Achieving Excellence.”

“The mural represents our school in a good way,” president Karina Adams said. “I hope that it brings the students closer together as friends and as a group in general.”

The art club works to complete the project on Mondays and Wednesdays.  The club expects to finish the mural on Oct. 24 or 29.

“The mural is good for the school spirit,” member Tamara Herbst said. “And it looks better than a white wall.”

The club created a mural at the softball field last year, and is planning on painting murals at Lakeline Mall and at Ceramics-n-More, a shop in the Railyard.
