“Get Schooled” is an attendance challenge with other LISD schools in Central Texas in which the school with the highest attendance rates wins a celebrity principal for the day, such as Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and Ne-Yo.
Though interesting as this challenge might be, the website has proven to be a bit confusing for students who’ve wanted to enter.
“I’m not sure how to use it,” junior Macy Anderson said. “I’m really not sure if anyone knows how to use it.”
Several students have reported difficulty even with maneuvering the colorful, though puzzling website.
“I went on the website,” senior Amber Hatchell said. “I was really confused, so I gave up on it.”
However, students who have figured it out hope to find it rewarding.
“It’s a slim chance, but I really hope I’ll win,” junior Emily Pace said. “It would be really cool if our school won the grand prize.”
Students can go online at www.getschooled.com to register. The more students log on to the site, the more the more eligible school is to grand prizes. Also, students can participate in other competitions like the wake-up call challenge to receive a phone call from a celebrity, online scavenger hunts and more.
