The AP theatre class will perform Almost, Maine in the black box at 7 p.m., Oct. 26. The class show is about all the ways that love can come into our lives. Since each scene has at most three people, each student had to learn how to act with their partners much more than they normally would.
“My favorite part was getting to work with people I don’t normally work with,” senior Brandy Giordano said. “It was nice, because I get to learn more about my classmates and friends. It helped me learn how to work with other people.”
The play is divided up into different duets that all occur at the same time in a made up place called Almost, Maine. They are just normal people that take a chance on love, which they normally wouldn’t take.
“I wanted a show that every single person could have a moment,” said theatre director Stephanie Smith said. “There are no leads so every character has their own moment. Everyone is very real.”
