All of the LISD dance teams will come together for the annual iDance showcase, Saturday, Sept. 29. There will be two performances on Saturday, one at 1 p.m. and another at 7 p.m. The shows will be at Leander High School and tickets are $10.
“I like it because I have a lot of friends on the other teams,” sophomore Kaila Burritt said. “And it makes me really happy to dance with them.”
High schools are given three team routines, one officer and a few all team routines. The five schools will also perform a few dances together.
“They can see all the dance teams, see different styles of each dance team, and watch them together on stage,” dance team director Amy McKee said.
Each team has their own style, and iDance is one of the few chances to see the styles for every team. The Royals, Leander Blue Belles, Vista Ridge Star Steppers, Vandergrift Legacies and the Cedar Park Celebrities will all come together for the two performances.
“I’m really excited because it’s fun to be a part of the same show with all the other dance teams,” senior Haley King said.
