The volleyball and football teams will get together for Raiders for the Cure this Friday, Sept. 28. Raiders for the Cure is organized by volleyball coach Jacob Thompson to raise awareness for breast cancer. The teams will both participate in Pink Out Night, and will play Dripping Springs.
“This is the third year we are doing it, and each year has gotten better and better,” Thompson said.
The volleyball team sold pink T-shirts for students to wear at the volleyball and football game. All profits made from Pink Out Night will be donated to breast cancer research.
“It’s to show your support for the survivors and people still fighting to get through it,” senior volleyball captain Meilee Brown said. “Wearing the pink shirts shows support for them and the event.”
The volleyball team plays in the gym at 6:45 p.m. while kick-off for the football game will be at 7:30 p.m. at Bible Stadium.
