National Honor Society will have its induction ceremony in the auditorium at 6 p.m., Oct. 3. The ceremony will explain the four pillars of NHS and what it means to be in the club. The new officers need to be there after school from 4-6 p.m. and the whole ceremony should be done by 8 p.m. The first meeting with all new and existing members is on Oct. 18.
“[It] sets them apart from everyone else in their class, since colleges know what is expected from them,” Rosie Palazzolo-Thompson said. “It’s important because they get community service hours, and it is a nationally recognized program, plus, it looks good on college applications.”
