Here’s the latest on the four big events for Homecoming.
THE PARADE
When: Sept. 19
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: The student parking lot
What goes on: The marching band, football players, clubs and the Homecoming Court will participate in the inaugural parade. Coach Josh Mann will speak and a pep rally will be held immediately afterward.
THE PEP RALLY
When: Sept. 21
Time: 9 – 9:30 a.m.
Where: The big gym
What goes on: Be ready to show some school spirit at the first pep rally of the year. The band will get the music going while the cheerleaders and dance teams perform and the captains from the football team hype us up for the game. And just in case you’re not excited enough yet, be ready to support your class in the spirit stick competition.
THE GAME
When: Friday, Sept. 21
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: Bible Stadium
Opponent: Del Valle Cardinals
Buy Tickets: The week before buy tickets online at http://www.leanderisdtickets.com/ for students and non-students. Pre-game student tickets will be sold during all lunches Thursday, Sept. 20 for $3. At the gate the ticket price will raise to $8.
THE DANCE
When: Saturday, Sept. 22
Time: 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Theme: Raider Spirit
Prices: Take advantage of cheaper prices by purchasing tickets early on the school’s web store on the Rouse website. Tickets online are $16 through this week and $18 from Sept. 17-20. On Friday, Sept. 21, students can buy tickets in the cafeteria for $20. At the door Saturday, the price goes up to $25.
Other notes: The courtyard will be open for students to mingle and there will be snacks and drinks for sale. A photographer will also take pictures of couples and groups with packages to choose from. The DJ is still accepting songs requests online at www.tunesacrosstexas.com/client. The password is RHS.
