Camp to give freshmen inside look at Rouse and clubs

Raider Camp will be held in the RHS cafeteria Aug. 8-9 for all incoming freshmen.  August 8 is for students whose last names begin with A-L and Aug. 9 is for all students remaining.

There will be information on clubs and activities available as well as Raider gear for sale and pre-order. The information meeting will begin promptly at 6 p.m. each night, and will end at 7:30 p.m.; booths for club information and Raider gear will be open before the meeting and afterwards until 8:30 p.m.

“I am so excited to be helping out with Raider Camp because I will be able to meet the incoming freshmen and help them know where they need to go,” senior Khione Stevenson said. “I think they won’t be so intimidated when they pass by people in the halls.”

Raider Camp will serve as a welcome to freshmen and an information session to prepare them for high school and help ease the transition from middle school.

“I hope it takes me out of the “middle school mode’,” incoming freshman Ryan Hage said. “And puts me into one that’s ready to take on high school.”
