The Art Club has recently painted a mural at the H-E-B on Parmer and 1431. The mural features a bunch of symbols of Texas, including the state tree, the Texas Longhorn, the state fruit, the bird, the flower, and much more Texas associated symbols.
“HEB asked for a mural. There’s an area that Vista Ridge drew, they wanted to keep the Texas theme, so students came up with the idea of the Texas symbols,” Art Club sponsor Cynthia Acevedo said.
The Art Club students worked on this mural mostly after school. The students went after school and during the later hours of the store, when the store was not as busy.
The Art Club will start a mural in Lakeline Mall during the summer, and will keep the same Texas theme as the H-E-B mural.
