The new members of the Intone-Nation Show Choir will be introduced at the Spring Sing, May 17. This year’s theme is “He said, she said,” and will happen in the auditorium at 7 p.m.
“For me as the teacher it’s cool to see the growth of the young musicians as the go from being nervous to turning into true professionals,” show choir director Spencer Wiley said. “For the students it’s a choir that you don’t only learn classical music. You get to do the stuff you hear on the radio.”
During the performance of the adult contemporary song “Hello Goodbye” the new members will join the old members as a passing of the torch. The current seniors will start off in the front row and halfway through the song the new members will join on the side.
“The kids work hard,” Wiley said. “I would love for me people to come see what we do; with the work that those kids do you would think that they are professionals. I love them all, they’re good kids.”
