Mr. RHS participants reflect on being part of the first pageant, Feb. 25.
“When I heard a lot of people weren’t doing it, I wanted it to be good for the school. I thought it would be a good experience.”
-Reggie Elerby
“I’m not too good at anything and I enjoy the movie [Napoleon Dynamite]. I thought [my talent] would be entertaining. I love making people happy and laugh.”
-Josh Companion
“It feels great I had a great time with the competition and the guys. I advise all the senior guys to do it next year. The talent portion was my favorite all the guys had really cool talents.”
-Josh Bush
“I went into my senior year wanting to do everything I could and experience all I can and when Mr. RHS came along I knew that it was something I wanted to be a part of.”
-Zachary Yoke
“ ‘Ice, Ice Baby’ has always been near and dear to my heart. At my middle school (a private school with grades K-12) these high school guys performed it for a similar activity. I always wanted to do something like that.
-Ryan Hawthorne
“Even though it may be cheesy I believe it’s going to be an awesome tradition for Rouse senior guys. I hope that it grows in popularity and based off the audience that was there this year I’m sure it will.”
-Colton Lammons
“I decided to participate with a ton of support from some friends who helped me brainstorm my act for the show. I wanted to show off something that was very important to me and about myself.”
