The Destination Imagination team won first place in their competition at regionals Feb. 18 at Harker Heights High School. They also won a Da Vinci Award for their outstanding set and the Spirit of DI award for helping an elementary team get their set out of the rain. The team consists of Josh Petro, Toni Schmidt, Stephanie Hofmann, Casey McMahan, Paige Smith and Andy Mask.

“It was really cool,” McMahan said. “It was awesome to be recognized as a lot more than just winning. We are not just good competitors, but a really awesome team wither we are building a set or helping another team, we do it as a team.”
