Eight things you didn’t know about baseball

  1. They go out to eat after the game to celebrate as a team, including heading to Dairy Queen and Mighty Fine.
  2. Before each game, they gather on the field to pray.
  3. Regardless if they win or lose, the team runs five laps on the foul line after every game to be good sports.
  4. This season is the last time to play Lake Travis, so the team really wants that win.
  5. Several players have nicknames, including Doodle and Dough boy.
  6. There are two classes of bats and due to new regulations,  they use the BB-COR brand this year.
  7. Baseball players are really superstitious; sometimes they don’t their wash clothes, and keep certain item like a coin or a four-leaf clover in their back pocket.
  8. Coach Paul Cochran was named Pro-Line Player of the Year and received the trophy at the Texas All-Star game in 1996 while playing for Prosper High School his senior year.
