Four swimmers qualify for regionals

The swim team competed at district Jan. 27-28, with the girls finish fifth and the guys placing eighth.

“We had a couple of tough calls by officials,” coach Marlene Blanchett said. “But the team didn’t let that keep us down. I’m proud of how we picked back up and went for first, second and third in several events.”

Of the four swimmers who advanced to finals in individual events, all are continuing to the regional swim meet.

“I’m really excited about the whole regional experience,” senior Andrew Thomas said. “It’s just a lot of fun to be a part of it.”
