The varsity girls soccer team took second in the Blue Cup division at the LISD Think Pink and Kick Cancer Cup, January 26-28.

“It’s been a total 180 from what we used to be,” junior and team captain Katherine Lugo said. “It’s amazing. I’m really excited for district.”

The team has two more non-district games before district starts next Friday at home against Vista Ridge.

“I think we really have a shot for playoffs,” Lugo said. “Cedar Park and Vista Ridge are both going to be good, but Vandegrift is our greatest competition.”
