Volleyball wrapped up their season with a 3-1 win against Marble Falls, Tuesday, Oct. 25.
“We played with a lot of energy,” Sophomore Maddie Sanford said, “It felt great to win.”
The team finished the season 19-24 overall and 4-8 in district, winning games over Vandegrift, Cedar Park, Dripping Springs and Marble Falls.
“The girls made leaps and bounds this season and it was our first district win against Cedar Park,” Sanford said. “But we didn’t make it to the playoff’s which was our goal.”
The Marble Falls’ win was the final match for six seniors. Each senior was recognized before the match and greeted on the court by their parents.
“It was really emotional and I thought it was going to be tough to get through,” senior Jacqueline Erlanson said. “But once I got started playing I realized that this is my last game and to just have fun with it.”
