This fall series portrays the story of a New York City heiress, Caroline, and a native New Yorker, Max, whose lives intertwine together after a twist of fate. After Caroline’s fortune is seized and her father locked away in jail, she must learn how to live life on her own without the lavish amenities she grew up with. To start over she finds a job at a rundown diner downtown where she meets Max, whose boyfriend is cheating and has just moved out. With Caroline in search of a home and Max in search of a roommate they wind up living together. The series is the story of the two girls’ adventures together and their plan to save money and start their own cupcake store front in NYC.

This series is funny in its situations and reactions but not necessarily in its plot line. As the girls live and experience life in the city their humor is found in ironic sarcastic situations, so if you search for a cute type of humor this is not the show for you. However, if you enjoy the types of humor found in actual life and the annoying people within it, this is the show for you.
