Vampire Diaries Fall TV Review

The Vampire Diaries
CW
Thursdays, 7 p.m.

Fall TV brings many new and exciting plot stories – including the hit TV show Vampire Diaries.  When the second season ended, we left Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) stuck with crazed-hybrid vampire Klaus (Joseph Morgan) in order to save his brother, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) from a werewolf bite.

With only two episodes of the season so far, the excitement has already begun.  Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) and Damon are on the hunt to save Stefan from his ripper life with Klaus. Stefan is increasingly becoming a darker character, with many details about his past life in the 20s being revealed. Relationships are being formed between Damon and Elena – whether they want it to happen or not – and between vampire Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) and werewolf Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino).

Meanwhile, Elena’s brother, Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen) is struggling with the new idea that he can see the ghosts of his past girlfriends and the fact that they are attempting to communicate with him.

Overall, The Vampire Diaries still stands as one of my favorite shows, even though it is sometimes hard to follow. The characters are great because they develop as the episodes continue and it never gets boring.
