The girls cross country team finished third overall at the Cedar Park Invitational, Sept. 24. Senior Nicole Kastens led the team, taking seventh place with a time of 12:19.
“It was a decent run for a longer, harder course,” Kastens said. “Everyone tried their hardest and that’s all that really matters.”
Also finishing in the top 25 were Karigan Allowitz who was 14th and Helena Castle who finished 23rd. The boys team were led by Trey Douthitt who finished 26th.
“Overall, we had a decent meet but weren’t at our best,” coach Kelly Thompson said. “It was a good opportunity for us to see what we need to work on as we head in our last few meets before district.”
