The girls cross country team finished third overall at the Cedar Park Invitational, Sept. 24. Senior Nicole Kastens led the team, taking seventh place with a time of 12:19.

“It was a decent run for a longer, harder course,” Kastens said. “Everyone tried their hardest and that’s all that really matters.”

Also finishing in the top 25 were Karigan Allowitz who was 14^th and Helena Castle who finished 23^rd. The boys team were led by Trey Douthitt who finished 26^th.

“Overall, we had a decent meet but weren’t at our best,” coach Kelly Thompson said. “It was a good opportunity for us to see what we need to work on as we head in our last few meets before district.”
